Lemon Sauce Ii Categories: appetizers, desserts, sauces, microwave 1 tablespoon cornstarch 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup water, at room temperature 2 tablespoon butter or margarine 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel 1 few grains salt 1. In a deep, 1-quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole combine sugar and cornstarch. 2. Gradually stir in water. 3. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 3 minutes or until sauce has thickened and is smooth. Stir occasionally. 4. Add butter, lemon juice, lemon peel and salt. 5. Serve warm or cold. Makes 1 cup Yield: 4 servings |
