French Toast Categories: low fat, breakfast 6 slices French bread diagonally cut 2 eggs 4 egg whites 1/2 cup skim milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 teaspoons sugar Nutmeg or cinnamon; to taste Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spray bottom of baking dish with nonstick spray. Mix eggs, milk, vanilla and sugar. Dip bread into mixture and place into baking dish. Pour remaining batter over bread. Top with nutmeg or cinnamon. Bake 15 minutes on one side and 10 minutes on the other side. This recipe yields 6 servings. Comments: 1/4 cup syrup will add 200 calories; 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce will add 50 calories; 1 cup fresh strawberries will add 45 calories.
