Granola Categories: low fat, breakfast 5 cups rolled oats 3/4 cup wheat germ 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 tablespoons vanilla 1/2 cup Grape Nuts™ cereal 1 cup All Bran 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup dried apricots Mix oats and wheat germ together. In a separate bowl, mix together water, brown sugar, oil, and vanilla. Add it to the oat and wheat germ mixture, stirring thoroughly. Spread onto a cookie sheet(s) and bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. (Stir after every 10 minutes.) Add Grape Nuts™, All Bran™, and pecans. Bake another 20 minutes. (Stir after every 10 minutes.) Remove from oven. When cool, add raisins and dried fruit. Pack into an air-tight container. (May be frozen.) This recipe yields twenty 1/2-cup servings.
