'Burgers, Chili, Simmered LC-4.3/s(4)

Categories:
`lo-carb, `let's try (!), style- maindish

1 lb ground beef, ex-ex ln (7%); shaped into small patties
1 dash salt and pepper; to taste
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 can (08 oz) tomato sauce
2 tablespoon chili powder; or more

Brown the patties in a skillet that is just big enough to hold them. Pour off the fat, and sprinkle on the salt, pepper and garlic powder. Pour the tomato sauce over the top of the patties, then sprinkle with the chile powder. Cover and simmer over low heat for 30-45 minutes. Serve over rice if you like rice, or with whatever else you enjoy.

I make this freezer friendly by making the patties ahead and flash freezing. When it's time for dinner, I just pull out the necessary amount, defrost for a short time in the microwave, and proceed with the recipe.
