Beans, Faux Baked (Black Soy Beans) LC-5.6/s(4)

Categories:
sandwich- -

4 slice bacon; chopped
1/4 cup onion; chopped
1/4 cup green bell pepper; chopped
1 can (15 oz) soy beans, black, Eden; drained
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup Log Cabin SF syrup; &1
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp liquid smoke

&1: /Atkins maple syrup/DaVinci (all use Splenda)

Here's my recipe for "baked beans". I just dumped so I hope these are the right amounts. I used a sprinkle of canadian brown sugar too.

Brown bacon, onion and green pepper till tender. Add remaining ingredients. Cook 10 min. or longer (the longer the better.) I used a saucepan on top of the stove. Oven or crock pot would be good.

A big thanks to whomever came up with this one. This was so good that I would make it even if I weren't doing the "A". As usual, I left the salt out of the garlic salt. Started it on the stove and then put it in the crockpot for several hours. Note to self: do NOT double this recipe; you will be too tempted to over-eat!
